Cvent announces new independent board members of post-merger company

Tysons, Virginia (December 1, 2021) ?? Cvent Inc. (?? Cvent ??), a leading provider of meeting, event and hospitality technology, today announced two new independent members of its board of directors who are expected to join its Board of Directors following the completion of the previously announced business combination with Dragoneer. Growth Opportunities Corp. II (Nasdaq: DGNS), scheduled to close on December 8, 2021. New independent board members will include Squarespace CFO Marcela Martin; and the former CFO of Cloudera, Jim Frankola, who will be the chairman of the audit committee.

Additional information on the members of the board of directors

Ms. Martin has been the CFO of Squarespace, a website creation and hosting company, since November 2020. Prior to joining Squarespace, Ms. Martin held several leadership roles. Ms. Martin was CFO of Booking.com, a digital travel agency, from January 2019 to November 2020, where she led the company’s finance function and oversaw financial operations, business development and mergers. and acquisitions. Between January 2016 and December 2018, Ms. Martin was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of National Geographic. Between November 1998 and December 2015, Ms. Martin held positions with Fox International Channels, including that of Executive Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. In September 2021, Ms. Martin joined both the board of directors of Avalara, a provider of tax automation for businesses, and the board of directors of Chegg, Inc., an education technology company. , as a member of the audit committee. Ms. Martin holds an MBA from the University of Liverpool and a Bachelor of Administration from the Universidad de Morón with expertise in accounting. Ms. Martin’s experience as an executive director of financial operations and her skills related to emerging technology companies will make her a valuable asset to the board of directors of New Cvent.
