The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Certificate in ESG Investment has been officially launched in Australia.
Registration for the CFA Institute certificate in ESG investing is available now through the CFA Institute.
The institute said the certificate is designed for investment practitioners who want to learn more about how to analyze and integrate important ESG factors into their day-to-day roles.
âIt is suitable for anyone working in front or back offices and adjacent roles – including sales and distribution, wealth management, product development, financial advice, consulting, risk management – as well as ” anyone looking to improve their understanding of ESG issues. CFA Institute mentioned.
Obtaining the CFA charter is not a prerequisite for obtaining the certificate, but the institute recommends that applicants for the ESG certificate already have a solid understanding of investments and a relevant financial qualification.
Unlike the 300 hours of study suggested by the CFA Institute to pass Level 1 of the CFA exam, it recommends 130 hours of study to complete the ESG Certificate program.
The certificate was developed by the CFA Society in the UK and has been endorsed by the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI).
âThis certificate can help you gain an edge in this rapidly evolving $ 40 trillion market,â the CFA Institute said.
âYou will develop expertise in an area in high demand by top companies around the world and be part of the solution to the major issues impacting the investment management industry and our world today. “
