ATTY. Rodolfo “Rudy” Publico has been an independent director of Home Credit Philippines (HCPH) since the company began operations in the country in 2013.

Throughout his years with the business, Publico’s wisdom and guidance has helped HCPH succeed and build the brand’s reputation as the leading consumer finance company, providing access to solutions convenient, affordable and responsible financial services to over 8 million Filipinos.

As an independent director, Publico was one of the most important members of the board responsible for setting the strategic direction and risk appetite of HCPH. He served on the board committee that developed enterprise-wide strategic, risk, financial, regulatory and reputational affairs.

Publico’s expertise and experience provided valuable information to the HCPH Board and Board Committees as a basis for critical decision-making.

He was Chairman of the Risk Management Committee from 2020 to 2021, a member of the Corporate Governance Committee and the Internal Audit Committee from 2019 to 2021 and a member of the Compensation Committee in 2015 and 2016.

Publico was instrumental in organizing the first-ever Data Privacy Conference in 2017, sponsored by HCPH in partnership with the National Privacy Commission and the Philippine Financing Association, of which he was Chairman Emeritus.

He ranked third among 156 graduates when he graduated from the University of the Philippines with the Associate of Arts degree and Bachelor of Laws. He has achieved an impressive overall average of 85.95% at the bar.

With his impressive academic and bar records, he was elected a member of all honor societies open to law students, became the Legislative Editor of the Philippine Law Journal at the University of the Philippines, and is now a Fellow at life of the integrated Bar. from the Philippines.
